Service for Suspension is for for disruptive youth ages 10-16. Service for Suspension is a pilot program designed to replace the current programs we know as the "In School" and "Out of School" programs.

Service for Suspension's goal is to reduce the number of disruptive students preventing the teaching and the learning process not only for the other students but for the teachers and administration as well.

The Parent/Student Interaction is the most important aspect of the program. As the old saying goes " It takes a village to raise a child", no words where ever truer. The parent will be involved in all aspects of the students life in school. One never knows what is going on in the homes of students and their behavior could be symptoms of something very serious going on in the home.

The curriculum will consist of a three day program compromised of the following components.

• Tutoring
• Community Service
• Parent/Teacher Interaction
• Counseling
